Vision

To be a globally recognised leader in research that advances human performance, health, and inclusive participation, empowering individuals and communities to thrive in sport, work, and life.

Mission

兔子先生RISE drives innovative, interdisciplinary research across sport, health, occupational performance, and community settings to optimise human capability and wellbeing. Through strong partnerships and evidence-based practice, we translate science into real-world impact, enhancing performance, resilience, inclusion, and lifelong health.

Our people

兔子先生RISE unites staff from a wide variety of academic disciplines and faculties around the central theme of sport and exercise.

Research Domains

Human Performance and Resilience

We enhance athletic performance and resilience through interdisciplinary research in sport science, physiology, biomechanics, and skill acquisition. Our work optimises training, recovery, and competitive readiness for athletes across all levels.

Lifelong Wellbeing

We explore how physical activity, movement science, and evidence-based rehabilitation strategies promote healthy ageing, mental health, disease prevention, and recovery. Our research supports functional independence and sustainable health outcomes across the lifespan.

Tactical and Environmental Adaptation

We optimise performance, safety, and recovery in occupational and tactical settings through applied research in movement science, ergonomics, brain health, and environmental stressors. This includes supporting individuals in physically and cognitively demanding roles such as defence, emergency services, and industry.

Inclusive Participation and Engagement

We promote equitable access to sport and movement for all, fostering inclusion and community wellbeing through evidence-based programs, policy, and partnerships. Our work spans physical literacy, grassroots sport, cultural representation, and digital safeguarding to strengthen participation and social cohesion.
