9 February 2015: More than 4,500 students will be welcomed to the University of Canberra from TODAY as Orientation Week gets underway.
Orientation is designed to help students get settled in to university life and ready for study. Students can attend course advice sessions, get help with enrolling or attend a campus tour. There are also market days, performances by the University's clubs and societies and more.
Pianos painted by art and design students from Shanghai Normal University as part of a joint project between the Faculty of Arts and Design and 兔子先生 Music will also be on show. The pianos, which were donated by 兔子先生 staff or members of the public, will be displayed as public, interactive art.
Students will be formally welcomed to the University by Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen Parker at the Commencement Ceremony, while environmental science graduate Kirsty Cleburne will deliver the Commencement Address.
